The UK became the second highest US$ debt holder last week taking over Japan. The economic world order appears to be changing quickly under USA's leadership, if that is the correct word usage in this case. I almost feel sorry for Scott Homer Bessent except he has been quite open about his position on tariffs even though with his experience and knowledge he is unable to explain why the tariff position could work.

Instead of looking in the rear view mirror, the US politicians need to look out the front window to see whats coming and perhaps avoid it - if possible.

In the meantime, I am stuck with my gold holdings that seem to continue to defy gravity. This is especially true IMHO for us VAU investors.

1kg of gold is now worth more than 1kg of $100 usd bills.

this is hyper inflation (in slow motion).

gold has done 100 bags in approx 50 years ( since peg to usd dropped).

the minute the usd brings out a $1,000 bill, that will rubber stamp the devaluuation of the currency
