the hedges ending have done wonders for other goldies so VAU will have its day hopefully but the patience needed for holders especially old slr holders VAU announcement 31.3.25 170000 ounzes to be delivered at hedge price at $2850 as at 31.3.25 with earnings growth predicted as hedging to reduce over next 18 months
problem of course is where gold price sits over next 18 months
analysts have vau sp expected to well and truly gain as hedging reduces
as a slr holder it is frustrating but every one of these goldies has its day
pru was my laggard at 20c to 40c for years when slr ran and ran years ago now of course pru has run and run and thankfully held from its lows for better days so i view vau as a hold for better days with no promises slr was set to gain last year and now yes some gains but long slow process but that is the market and depends on timeframes and strategies
