I agree for most of Africa.. but at the same time have made some good returns on miners in Africa ..my last holding GAU:TSX that has been operating Gold project in Ghana Asankrangwa Gold Belt project

Was discovered late 2000's and at present mining 5Mtpa nil major issues 16yrs later Full Govt support with 10% holding mostly Ghana workforce etc..

nearby GAU operation of course we have ASX listed Perseus that's been operating in Africa for many years successfully .few other operation nearby..NEWMONT , GOLDFIELDS , ANGLO GOLD some pretty well known mining Giants.

I think of Africa much like South America .. some stellar projects but certainly country risk esp in some locations
