Appreciate that but they should have never invited the KRM team if it was always going to be an ambush. It reflects vey badly on them I feel. I'm sure that this act has upset some within the government. The Sami's relationship with the government has always been poor so i think its a given. The government has been appropriating land for roads, tunnels, wind farms and mines for years.
The relationship between Sami groups and other nomadic groups hasn't historically been the best either. Funnily enough, their relationship with environmentalists is also poor as environmentalists wish to protect the environment and all natural inhabitants including eagles and lynx. The Sami on the other hand see these animals as predators that threaten their livelihood. It seems that they struggle with most groups. lol
