Under the terms of the non-binding MOU:
● Hanwha Defence Australia Pty Ltd will supply the armoured steel coupons to be used in the development of the Hanwha specific welding protocols;
● K-TIG will supply samples of the coupons welded in the agreed geometries for independent testing of weld quality;
● Hanwha Defence Corporation will supply technical data that relates to the development of welding protocols and any related support systems; and
● The indicative project timetable is 24 weeks.
As above, when the MOU was announced the timetable given was 24 weeks from around mid to late March this year. We're still within that timeframe. In the last announcement it was mentioned that they're testing strengthening the weld pool. I'd be interested to hear more about this, but doesn't sound like bad news, more like continuing testing within the original spec of the MOU.
Can anyone share more on this?
