There's only one price in the closing auction... Would've closed at 2.9 if not for the sale of that one share which meant 1 more sale than the buyers . Highly likely the seller is in that buy queue somewhere... And it forced all those auctioned shares to close at 2.8 also.
Easy if you have super fast bot watching all the other auction trades... Happens all over the asx, but take heart its an accumulation tactic. You see it all the time. Google how do open and closing auctions work?.. (are manipulated).
