Yes chrisuno - 2 years ago this ann would have sent SP through the roof.

There was a sniff of this - as we discussed - in the agreement ann with Calix to use their patented kiln tech to make the Metakaolin.

Until Govt's go big a charge LOTS to discharge CO2, any new/alternative cement making process will come down to price. My guess is ATM Portland is cheaper to make but WAY more CO2 polluting. However in time, as CO2 discharge becomes more expensive, IMO, this will be a winner. In fact Calix is already JV'ing with many 'traditional' Portland cement makers via Lielic, to capture pure CO2 for sequestration and/or other industrial use. This a new angle for sure.

I wonder how much more expensive Metakaolin is to make & how abundant Kaolin is vs LIme which seems to be very cheap & abundant.
