If mined, the bauxite is likely to be trucked to the rail at CBG and thence to the coast. If the rail is running at capacity, bauxite from Bouba has to be better than the bauxite from CBG to displace it. In addition it has to cover the trucking cost of US$7-8 per tonne. If not why would CBG be interested in it given they have 8Bt of resources?
Canyon preso of March 2020 has CBG grades as follows: Low temp Av Al 42-46%, Rx SiO2 1.2-1.6%
Using the pre-COVID CBIX numbers of $1.50 / % Av Al and -$5 / % Rx SiO2, CBG ore value CIF China is $55 - $63.
Value for Bouba including trucking...
Bouba 45 / 3. approx value = 45 x 1.5 - 3 x 5 - 7 = $45
Mamaya 43 / 2.6 43 x 1.5 - 2.6 x 5 - 7 = $45
Bouba South 42 / 5 42 x 1.5 - 5 x 5 - 7 = $31
Bouba North 46 / 5 46 x 1.5 - 5 x 5 - 7 = $37
I've estimated Bouba N and S grades from Bouba recoveries.
Will anyone want the Bouba bauxite?
