Ok - so this announcement is deceptive.
They haven't appointed an Executive Chairman, they have simply put in place someone to keep the seat warm while they find an Executive Chairman.
The real news is the current Executive Chairman is leaving. Nobody currently knows why, everyone is just guessing.

A one line sentence to say thank you hidden at the bottom of an announcement that is misleading comes across as suspicious to me.

But still - we don't know why. Maybe there were personal reasons, maybe something was going on that made him staying on untenable. We'll probably never know the real reason.

Positive - LKE continues to be the master of spin.
