For sure, its the best option AGO had. But that doesn't necessarily make it a "good" or "strong" option by default.
And with the AUD - each time the IOP rises people see the AUD as a good currency to be in, so the exchange rate goes up. The markets have become obsessed with it being the only indicator of global economic strength.
