Once finished, the lab sends an invoice and awaits payment before releasing results. It would then take a day or two for a company to write an announcement. If they were breath taking results the company could ask for a trading halt. Leaks are unlikely from a lab as they don't know where the assays were located, just a company and a sample number typically (and they deal with hundreds of samples per day).

However, I imagine (but not certain) that a government department would have 30 day accounts. Personally, I'd be less focussed on leaks and more focused on the content .
