I found this article about CSIRO and new technology for cyanide free mining.

Maybe LNY can call them. Great stuff CSIRO. Why can't we be an innovative small company using the latest processing technology?

Sorry I can't find the link for the Malachite story about who blocked the cyanide purchases. I remember the mining/processing manager being irate. I think one of the JV partners held up the funds mid operation and it was a mess well before this. I believe there was a review held after the debacle. I hope their quality system got a work over for our sake.
This article shows they were getting 80% recoveries initially leading up when they noticed the difficulties with quality of grades of feed and cyanide purchase requirements.

S(ugar) hit the fan after this - the grades dropped to 50% with inadequate cyanide allocated (but it was only one factor, poor grade feed was another), and the feed rate dropped. Then JV decided to stop funding and they couldn't get the cyanide stock they needed ......so the operation was shut down. Lots of factors - but main one was probably the quality of ore and intermittent feeding of the circuit.
    Further information is here https://www.spglobal.com/marketintelligence/en/news-insights/blog/essential-metals-mining-insights-august-2020
"The plant was also underused due to intermittent operations brought by working capital constraints, processing 4,650 tonnes of ore at an average rate of 23 tonnes per hour, with a feed grade of 1.92 g/t gold and average recovery of 45.3% in January 2019." 45% recovery = PULL THE PLUG

I've made about 60% return on Malachite (MAR) since then as they rebounded from the disaster. They have some great assets.

I also found the article about AMG who mention the option of using the Lorena plant for processing (was going to be mining in Sept 2020 but Corona hit them hard). They have a prospective deposit in Cloncurry and are more than pecking with some good drilling results. 172g/t at 72m depth on last drill report. Their JORC is small at Total 100,000 Au Oz. But growing with an aggressive drilling campaign. They may look to feed grade to Lorena processing plant next year as its a close option for them. SP will likely drop over the wet season, because they will not be able to drill then.

An investment into LNY IMO should consider the local ecosystem, its debt and risk/opportunity profile. And local partners.
Overall more plusses than minuses but it is by no means an NST, EVN, RSG and the pathway to riches here is filled with uncertainty. Roll the dice.
    I will hold for now.
