If you are at all concerned about remoteness, it does beg the question, why Conoco have a producing oil field in Willow, just north of the 88e Peregrine prospects, and are returning to drill Harpoon again, which is almost next door. Clearly Conoco do not believe it's too remote. These Conoco projects are a looooong way from TAPS.

88e are not in the business of forking out many billions to build infrastructure, this is not what they are about.

Oil Search are delaying production due to current market conditions, not because of lacking infrastructure.

Workover rigs are used extensively on the North Slope and the Peregrine wells will be drilled by one. Well, that's what Dave told me when I asked him.
