I’ve been looking for more infos regarding the permit. I find it interesting to see news articles came out in January about ‘WCN is ready to drill’ etc and the asx announcement on 29.01.24 with headline of ‘License approval received from Nunavut planning commission for Coppermine project’

WCN obtained so called positive conformity determination with their initial application for ground activity only(survey, rock chip sampling etc) in January 2024 - NPC responded described surface activity doesn’t require such approval(?) I can see WCN tried to modify the permit to drill a few months later and got knocked back by NPC(modification not accepted, case referred to NIRB). since then they were requested to engage with local communities, WCN provided locals of Nunavut sponsored first aid training(paid by WCN) as a part of community engagement and WCN provided helicopter to assist them to move arctic char monitoring devices, and they want to use the helicopter in the future for a few different reasons and local Inuit association requested $75000 deposit before drilling(?) and jobs for locals. and after all these la la la they raised concerns about WCN’s mitigation measures, now the board meeting has been postponed and WCN’s wild life management plan will be reviewed later.

sT0ckhead got pocket money from WCN to release a news ‘WCN ready to drill’ and WCN released asx announcement regarding the permit … I believe both are quite deceptive. then headline of ‘major discovery’ on rock chips… interesting to see who’s gonna have the fattest pocket when this show ends…
