Thanks @pgrace your timing fit perfectly into what I was currently researching.

Disclosure: I have absolutely no idea what I am talking about.

The first reason IVR might have the goodies, whereas "the others" so far haven't is because we have identified a graben, which is necessary to collect the fluids during the formation of an IOCG.

The collection of the fluids in this graben leads to a non-magnetic and dense mineral. When we look at all the fancied reports with lots of pretty colours in them, we see zones of reduced magnetism located coincident to a gravity high.



I'm struggling to find information from "the others" with regards to grabens. Maybe I'm just suffering from information overload, or maybe they didn't give this issue enough attention. I really don't know (re-read the Disclosure bit please).

Next step is to try and understand all these pretty pictures with lots of colours splashed all over them.
