Unfortunately I have to concur, a brief review of this article ( https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2542435118302927 ) makes it clear that if they can get DLE to work here then it would in principle be possible to apply it to seawater, just having to wait a bit longer to get the same amount of Lithium from the lower concentration resource there.
Thanks for the Feulling suggestion I'm going to follow that for hard rock Lithium resources, especially in Africa.
