Frankly I think any talk of the board spill being part of a wider plan to take the company over on the cheap is just conspiracy theory stuff.
IMO the reason for the spill was several years of accumulated frustration crystallised into action by Mike Bassett who clearly has an axe to grind from being exited from the business. Unfortunate timing and completely killed the share price momentum, but it was encouraging to hear RV say that he thinks the new board members appear to be good to work with.
Importantly it doesn't sound as though they are going to take a pause to do a strategic review and waste the next 6mths as many of us feared, but sounds like they are largely backing the existing plan, albeit tapping the brakes on expanding the sales team too aggressively until the revenue acceleration is visible.
