Unfortunately, i dont currently know what the other biotec is (the one with good results but no uptake). If you ca share the name, i will spend a bit of time this weekend looking into why good might not be seen as good by doctors.
As a general rule: if a treatment is not in clinical guidelines, it tends to get less use. Cost effectiveness also matters. A better therapy can be 2nd or 3rd line due to its higher cost. Etc.
In diagnostics, the impact of missing an important diagnosis tends to push the best capable to the front. However, the magnitude of the difference also matters: the bigger it is, the more it stops being a personal choice.
