I once held ATC but eventually decided to divest. Although there's no scarcity of Lithium, the challenge lies in its processing and refining. Tesla's recent investment in a new Lithium refining plant in the US only underscores its ongoing importance in the upcoming decades. I find it hard to imagine sodium making a significant dent in the persistent demand for lithium.

Current high-density, high-performance, fast-charging batteries overwhelmingly employ lithium chemistry, relegating sodium to the lower end of the market that prioritizes cost over performance. I'd advise caution against the narrative that "sodium will replace lithium and lithium is dead," as this seems somewhat misguided and uninformed in my view. Initially, I was drawn to ATC due to the same concerns you mentioned. However, upon further due diligence, I concluded this was largely baseless hype.

That's not to say that ATC is a bad investment; their large-scale, household batteries might still hold potential. But one must consider the relationship between price and economies of scale. Presently, the production of sodium batteries would be costly, given that the existing manufacturing infrastructure is geared to optimize the production of Lithium-based cells.

As for hydrogen, I predict it will be phased out by 2025 completely. I'm confident enough to stake my life on that. Either way, best of luck with your investments!
