I refer to the last Dukas update from 12th July where some difficulties were encountered running the 8-5/8” intermediate casing liner, this was expected to take another four to seven days to rectify before drilling resumes. The wording from this latest presentation "Drilling currently stalled for mechanical reasons" concerns me as the wording on Dukas update on 21st June used the word "repairs" to the rig top drive specifically to explain delays.
As they were having problems running the 8-5/8" casing in my opinion mechanical pipe sticking is probably the problem. The causes of mechanical pipe sticking are the inadequate removal of drilled cutting from the annulus; borehole instabilities, such as hole caving, sloughing, or collapse, plastic shale or salt sections squeezing (creeping), and key seating.
It would nice to be wrong.
