That's the one. Interesting history to it, the Xyloleum well drilled on the block was drilled by a bloke called Ian Sykes in the early 80s, a smalltime wildcatter. From memory it blew out in the Macalister seam because he'd actually discovered the Undulla Nose CSG fairway, but nobody understood that back then (this is pre-US CSG industry even) so they assumed it was coming from the Springbok Sst, mapped a small closure and booked a small resource, and he missed the chance to secure the entire Undulla Nose, worth billions.

In the mid-2000s the Qld government stripped even the Xyloleum block from him (still worth hundreds of millions) due to non-compliance, and he fought them for years in the courts but eventually lost, and then died. It's been sitting there ever since like a donut hole in the middle of the massive Undulla Nose development as thousands of wells have been drilled around it. I'm not sure why it took so long to be issued as the Qld government could have made a mint from it as a cash bid gazettal, so I assume there were loose legal ends to tie up between the government and his estate, before they could gazette it.

By the time they finally released it for bids, the Qld government had switched from cash gazettal bids to their latest idea of giving it to local junior Qld companies with the caveat of reserving it for the domestic market, in response to the gas crisis. That's how Senex got Atlas, Central got Range (RC's switch of office location from Perth to Brisbane proving a stroke of luck - I'm pretty sure the move happened before this was announced), and now Armour has got Xyloleum. But Armour only got 10% of it in a JV with APLNG, one of the big LNG projects whom the government holds responsible for the gas shortage in the first place. I guess that 10% interest was enough for the government to save face and claim they were giving it to a local junior!
