So, why aren't people getting onboard I ask myself.
For the Oyut Ulaan gold prospect alone, the announcement today hints at a long strike distance, shallow dipping multiple veins that could be open pitted easily, and the carbonate ore is a rock type that should be easily milled, which together with the high gold grades would give good margins.
So what is the downside that is discouraging buyers.
-- Political instability? Things seem to have improved recently, or at least the press is leaving well enough alone.
-- The hardships of the fabled Gobi Desert? Remoteness is a merit these days.
-- Just too far away? It can't be any further than half way around the world. And the product is gold, can be carried to market in the back of the mill manager's ute.
I am stumped, can't work it out. But I am maxed out too, can't buy any more.
