Thanks BRM I had a great weekend. In the past I have known several posters who were very passionate about particular stocks who were also directors of those companies. I did not see it as my place to out them, as it was quite clear that their passion was very myopic.
However I do feel that there is not enough adherence to some commonsense style disclosure and 'truth in reporting' standards by many companies. eg Woodside the other day announced "XXX m of gross gas pay in a well" which is a totally mischieveous statement, as the nett pay could have been less than 1m.

I was questioning the worth of the analyst's 'research' as I did not see anything new in the presentation nor any meanigful conclusions, other than what has been included in previous announcements. The reference to the Backreef Oil Pool defies common use of the term or the SPE guidelines, as the pool has yet to be confirmed by testing.
