It is by far their largest acquisition till date, so well done to them. Decent footprint of assets including QLD, Waitsia & Otway.
Back in mid-2006 they paid $650mil to acquire 2P-59 mmboe from Delhi Petroleum in the Cooper followed by the acquisition in late 2015 of Drillsearch for $384 for 2P-25.7 mmboe. So $1585mil gets them 2P-157 mmboe this time around (2P metric of $10/boe).
With Seven holding a keystake in Beach, wonder what else could b on their radar. For now its good to acquire cashflow generating assets.
