Yes, while it hasn't occurred and may not given LAU is a minnow (albeit an expanding one), one wonders at times why Mr Lindsay Fox of eponymous Linfox hasn't lobbed a takeover bid, or perhaps more accurately, his son Mr Peter Fox done the same.

Mr Kim Lindsay of LAU previously commented that the company has been allocated space (i.e. container wagons) on various Pacific National trains that can often be at maximum permitted length (that from memory is 1500 metres Melbourne to Brisbane and 1800 metres across from the east coast to Perth). Double stacking - one on top of another - is allowed Adelaide or Parkes to Perth or (non-PN) to Darwin.
