plough, I omitted that between Perth and Adelaide, there may have been a small number of additional LAU 'reefers' (refrigerated containers) as due to the lack of low overhead bridges and also no tunnels, intermodal trains can be double stacked (as they can Perth to Parkes, but not all the way to Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne). 'Double stacking' means 'two containers high' on specially designed well wagons that have a lower centre of gravity (mind you, I was never any good at physics).
