Hi BazzleDog, don't mean to be a buzz killer.
Tencent is so powerful that it can ban whatever software which might steal their thunder from its platform. For example, WeChat used to be able to share songs from apps developed by other competitors but they all banned except the ones that Tencent develops. Since Tencent is also developing / dominating the Karaoke apps market in China, I doubt it will allow any potential competitor to survive to too long in the same market.
Chinese market is big, but VERY hard to penetrate due to lots of restrictions, rules, regulations, monopolies and games. You gotta be having really ground breaking products. Otherwise you could waste all your money in the area.
