Hamish and his team are more on top of the macro situation than we retail investors can be given their resources. The new fund can go to 50% cash when required and if they ever did they would be ahead of the pack so even in down times I'd expect them to have lower loses than the general market. Plus if you are a long term investor which you should be if investing in something like this, then a down year should not worry you too much.
Over the long term I'd expect them do as well as they have on their other investments as indicated by their performance over the last decade in their various funds.
