Did you even read the announcement or understand what the product is? The bonus incentives alone make it worthwhile to anyone with lazy cash ready to put in, even if simply to sell at completion of the offer. To anyone who trusts Hamish as an investment manager and his macro outlook, is already invested in MFG, knows most of the holdings in their high conviction strategy fund and is optimistic about the global economy it is something of a no brainer to at least consider.
Are you expecting an analysis on the Global economy or something? This just seems a stupid comment and when considering the incentives it has an obvious answer. Personally I still think Magellan itself is overvalued, but the risks in this trust are much lower, and the track record of the strategy and Hamish are clearly strong.
