If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say it's just a matter of prioritizing the maiden launch of their GSLV Mk III – given that it had already been significantly delayed from its original launch window of December 2016.

Also appears that one of the other payloads, the Aalto-1, may have also played part in the delay. As it wasn’t originally designed for the flight and had to be reintegrated into the PSLV firing adapter “at last minute” from what I can gather. Rough translation from the article below:

“The launch of the Indian PSLV has been postponed little by little all the time, partly due to the fact that, at the last minute, satellites such as Aalto-1 were not loaded and were not originally designed for the flight.”

The below article also has the ISRO chairman say that the launch of the GLSV Mk III would be followed by the PSLV.

So all going well with the launch on June 5, ours will hopefully stay a bit closer to schedule this time around.

    Enjoy the weekend fellas.
