Yowie Group Ltd (ASX: YOW, OTC ADR: YWRPY) (“the Company”) advises that it has been served a Summons in a Civil Action in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida by Whetstone Industries Inc and Henry M Whetstone Jr.
The summons relates to a re-filing of a tortious interference case against the Company as outlined in the December 2017 Half-Year Report.
The Company does not believe any material payments would be made as a result of this case. The Company will incur ongoing legal costs, however, due to inherent uncertainties, no accurate quantification of any cost, or timing of such cost, which may arise from the legal proceedings can be made.
The company is confident in its legal position and will defend the action.
