I would say the cost savings for the business will be quicker than you think. A chocolate manufacturer I am close to recently acquired a 28000 automated chocolate tempering machine which replaced 4 staff standing around doing hand tempering , saving 220000 per year.
Once the machine was shown to do exactly the same job in a more efficient manner, almost instantly, the staff we're redundant. The machine works 24 hrs a day, can be easily adapted for other uses, doesn't get super, doesn't duck out for coggies and excessive toilet breaks and doesn't talk back.
It also comes with service support, locally which eases the mind of the manufacturer. It operates with one person monitoring it.
