Leaving it listed and using it as an LIC with poor performance is only costing LC so I am assuming that she she smarter than paying all the compliance costs and dealing with minority holders and will, when its in her nest interest either take it private or liquidate.
She gets to run a private family investment co with the costs of operating it defrayed by having a listed structure with a bunch of trapped minority shareholders. It is in her benefit to continue the status quo.
