I'm not sure if it was in an announcement, but reading between the lines of the events, leads to the conclusion that there was too much water in the chamber as the only explanation as to why they couldn't get the chamber to temperature before Christmas.Seeing as they knew the water content of the coal, and the temperature at which it should burn, burning coal is not difficult...unless its too wet.
