I think those videos could make it look worst than it is. The second one comes from this trip report.
The relevant quote is:
"Back to the 'Highway' and continuing south we arrived at Windy Corner at the Talawana track. There were no recent wheel prints on the Talawana track compared to the Gary Highway. We then continued west along the Talawana. Quite overgrown in places, but generally a non technical 2WD track. At the intersection of the Eagle Hwy is a visitors book with the last entry of November 2012, some 7 months ago."
