While not ideal, most medical stocks are a gamble on the FDA approval. The US is the fastest adopter of new medical tech. Everyone else are laggards. We have seen the same phenomenon at Nanosonics. The mistake was probably not gambling on FDA earlier. Most holders would be now betting on the binary outcome of FDA approval, which shouldn't be surprising.
