The announcement says that the leadership issue has been considered for "some time".
It is conceivable that this could result in some unhappiness at a proposed change.
Perhaps sufficient motivation for certain actions by a senior leader.
Those actions perhaps could take the form of something which the BOD couldn't overlook.
This would account for the use of a trading halt, which would be an unusual instrument to deploy to announce a change in CEO I would think?.
