"It is with some sadness that I am posting my voluntary retirement from EMVision as CEO and MD. I am retiring from the role for health and personal reasons after five and a half years with the company. I will remain as a non-executive director and continue to work with the company as a consultant and mentor for the outstanding management team. I am excited to hand over the baton to co-founder Scott Kirkland with whom I have worked very closely and over the 5 years post IPO on the ASX he has immersed himself in all aspects of business with my guidance. I have every confidence in his abilities and he has strong support from the board and management team.

I am proud of what we have achieved taking some intellectual property and turned into a product undergoing its large clinical trials for the point of care diagnosis, characterisation and localisation of stroke using completely unique and safe technology. We have acquired $40m in capital of which almost half is from non-dilutive sources. We have a reputation for credible attainment of milestones and have returned significant shareholder value. I am a passionate believer in the great team we have gathered, the commitment they have to execution to plan, the product and the tremendous future the company has ahead of it.

At this point I don’t envision myself having CEO or MD roles in the foreseeable future but will continue and expand my board roles with my 30 years of experience and success in the MedTech sector. I hope to be able to provide strategic advice to companies and government in a variety of capacities with expertise in technology development, manufacturing through to strategic partnerships, commercialisation and sales with accelerated revenue in global markets. Growth companies are my forte.

I still have heaps of energy and it is not a situation of “if I will work” but rather “ how can I work best”. With family and grandchildren overseas I am looking for greater flexibility in my work life."
