Still NVX might have new battery chemistry but Tesla pointed out that you can use the same materials and just significantly reduce the manufacturing cost and redesign basically everything to further reduce the cost of batteries and still use the same materials as they are now. They seems to like the fact of using lower cost materials to reduce the price. I don't know about graphite if TSLA truly deliver what their preaching in a few years time alot of OEM's are going to not be looking at expensive battery materials. Whats the point of having a expensive longer life battery when you can get a cheap TSLA one for a fraction of the cost, you probably wouldnt mind only owning the car for 15 years they buy a new one later and recycle the old battery, just my opinion
