I'm optimistic, but there is still risks.
Competitor risk: There's a lot of competitors and supply that has come on/is coming online the last couple of years from much bigger companies (big international ones too) Who knows if more people will enter the market in the years to come or existing players continuing to expand. Will be interesting too see how changes in the dollar effect those decisions too.
Reputational Risk: We all know DataCentres live and die by their reputation, an uplanned fire/outage won't help that.
Technological Risk: Whats state of the art today, wont remain so in the future. How far away that is, is anyones guess.
In regards to the Canberra Data Centre, most governments seem to be moving to a centralised consolidisation model of using a few panelled DC's across all of government. Whether NextDC will be a part of that panel is unknown. So not being on that panel could be interesting.
I do think we have a good team but who will continue to mitigate a lot of the risks.
