Time will certainly tell here. As I said I am valuing this company based on future not present. Not sure why anyone would be valuing a hyper growth company like this for what it is today and give up their shares at today’s valuation? Based on that 20% and selling it at $1.3 is bizarre to me. Personally I would not let this go at $1.3 today. In terms of Axie holdings, no idea what Animoca actually holds today but even a 1% gives it a 100m usd holding and personally I think they are holding anywhere between 1-5% and it is likely they participated in the later rounds and not just the initial also. Again time will tell.
Even calculating the current asset position of fully owned subsidiary, I think a simple addition will give us the $1B valuation already. Plus the actual business that is in hyper growth. What is a “fair valuation”? I think anyone using any sort of traditional methods of calculation here with their fancy degrees will be losing out big time as the market is not exactly that rational when it comes to something that has the potential to exponentially grow, change lives throughout altering entire economics of jobseeking as what we are currently seeing in Axie. The potential is much much bigger and no way should this be valued on a linear scale. Just my opinion and am happy to put my money where my mouth is and hold on until a much higher val.
