I can't understand what MCC strategy with not paying the $80M. It is not something they can wriggle out of if we are to believe that it was part of the sale of the asset.
CFE is not strapped for cash. Probably would be the opportunity cost of not using the owing for something more revenue generating. Weekend AFR mention of Vale moving into Mozambique big time is further confirmation that this is a region of sustained investments by the big end of town. It bodes very well for the Marampa asset to be auctioned so I guess it is a matter of time before CFE profits are back to the sale of assets to MCC instead of the headline $76M reported which is misleading.
Buy on the dips and wait for Marampa sale before it breakout of the trading range top of 40cents.
