One way another this gets resolved, and it wouldn't at all surprise me if the ones who finally resolve this are the Chinese Government.
Think about it... The Chinese authorities are telling their lithium producers to reign in the escalating cost of imported raw or partially processed materials. And yet here we are, AVZ with the largest known hard rock deposit on the planet being delayed to the detriment of the Chinese battery industry, with one Chinese company (Zijin Mining) working against Chinese AVZ shareholders and offtakers (Yibin Tianyi and Huayou International Mining), and future Dathcom shareholder CATH.For reference, related party CATL has a market cap roughly 4x Zijin.
How long before the CCP starts bumping some heads together? Zijin have been doing a wonderful job of tarnishing the reputation of the Chinese in the DRC, so maybe the CCP will "re-educate" them for the good of the State? All IMO.
