Hmmm. The Chinese paid Desert Lion (which subsequently became a Lepidico subsidiary) somewhere North of $AUD 6m, for "rights" to the stockpile.

For some reason, the stockpile(s) were not reaped, and the Chinese believe that Justice is on their side in the dispute.

LPD bought out Desert Lion with much fanfare in July 2019, and LPD by law assumed 80% of Desert Lion's liabilities, presumably including this one.

The remaining 20% is held by !Huni, and things have not been rosy between them - see: Namibia: Management Woes Unfold At Karibib Lithium Project - allAfrica.com

Further background here: Major Mines & Projects | Karibib Mine (miningdataonline.com)

The big question mark - did LPD know about this potential liability or not when Desert Lion was acquired?
