Directors are only liable if it's insolvent trading or there are evidences showing there are "phoenix activities". When a company is bankrupt, directors are normally not personally liable under the veil of corporate.
However, Australian law may not necessarily applied to foreign company such as Korea. At the end of the day, we still have no idea what's the asset VC owned from Day 1. They apparently only have a website.
