I don't think it was a direct lighting strike that caused the explosion at the plant.
Its my understanding that there were lighting strikes at the plant but the actual explosion was the result of a contractor incorrectly restarting the boiler/diffuser after it had been shut down as a precautionary measure ?
Happy to stand corrected but it may make a big difference if its alleged that it involved negligence rather than an act of god ?
