Without getting in to a debate, you cant really tell how they are allocating their costs with this report. Companies have discretion how they account and which bucket they put the costs into.
With 6 rigs on site, they will need to have at least 4 geos/6 fieldies/EHS representative/cook/cleaner ++. This is a minimum of 13 people there on a fifo roster. That alone is >$15k per day. Plus flights + vehicles + fuel and more. Some or all of this may or may not be allocated to exploration expenses or bucketed in to corporate costs or staff. Depends if they are full time staff/contractors and their accounting policy etc. and where the company chooses to allocate their costs. Then with 6 rigs (4 x RC and 2 x DD) will chew up $10M alone in the quarter (with assays) which with the staff costs will eat up the all of the allocated exploration expenses.
Then there is met testwork/enviro work/EHS/Heritage compliance/engineering/software/data management/establishing policies and procedures/consultants for economic studies + more. How much of this is being put in to admin and corporate costs? You cant tell so your commentary is flawed. All of this isn't cheap.
The management of the company are travelling to promote the company which is their job, to get eyes on the stock and bring in buyers. I certainly don't think travelling at the back of the plane is a good idea when you want them to arrive fresh when travelling half way around the world meet with investors/instos as well as present the company at conferences. Its called business class for a reason! They are incentivised for the stock price to perform well and this is one of the key aspects to doing so. Its not all fancy hotels and fine dining. Its travelling extensively, away from family and living out of hotel rooms.
Has the stock price fallen from grace, yes. Are the fundamentals of the asset still strong, yes. There is a large lithium bearing pegmatite which will deliver high tonnages in to a resource. If lithium had spiked again in the last 6 months as opposed to dropped, no one would be having this conversation as the share price would have continued to perform. But unfortunately Li has fallen and this is one of many Li stocks which has fallen with it.
Bottom line is there will be a sizable economic resource in this project which will ultimately be worth more than the current EV. In the meantime they need to keep advancing it and keeping eyes on the company through promoting.
I do think they can improve their communication and news flow, especially in a falling share environment and they should have plenty to talk about given the amount of drilling they are doing so that would be a criticism of mine. But the results will come out eventually.
I am down on my entry price but I am not worried. I accept the risks when investing in resource stocks and this asset will ultimately make a mine one day and someone will buy it to make it happen. In the meantime let the work continue and see what the drill bit continues to deliver. The upside on the rest of their tenure will provide fresh opportunity outside what is a cornerstone asset for the business.
