Do you think maybe it’s not about preventing pharma companies from making revenues but is about about the government covering their arse? The vaccines only have emergency use rather than approval from the FDA. So expiring the patents and permitting alternative manufacture and supply would reduce the liability of the government and companies if something goes wrong.
