'They' are the banks. We retail traders do not move the markets, they do. We need to anticipate, (or at least follow) their activity in order to have a chance at profit.
I don't see it as a battle against the banks so much as an internal mental battle. Discipline, solid analysis etc. The instos do cheat though. Sometimes we can see it happening, other times it's invisible.
