Thanks @intelseb I guess though what I would like to understand is how was the LLL Project Establishment Agreement linked to the 2012 Mining Code was so flimsy that it was able to be cast aside.
In an earlier Webinar, Rick had stated that the LLL case was strong and their legal advice was that the Establishment Agreement was sound.
Mali Gov propensity to just not award permit's for mining came late in the negotiations (some 6-8 mths later) and towards the near completion of project construction. If this was the case earlier, surely it would have been prudent to discuss with Ganfeng, and potentially halt construction if there was any risk of permits not being awarded in the future.
The fact that Rick called the Ganfeng deal a pretty standard agreement that LLL can't be bent over by Ganfeng is a joke. That is what the Establishment Agreement should have been as well.
If a Gov mining minister can stroll in and cause such carnage and wipe all agreements, the world would be a complete joke and lawyers and contracts wouldn't be worth their salt.
I simply fail to believe that LLL board and management haven't royally screwed up! They should be held accountable and any suggestion of bonuses is borderline criminal.
